You know, I got to thinking a little bit this weekend about network marketing and how far too often you always hear about how successful people are, and you see them at the pinacle of their success, but they NEVER talk about their network marketing failure and how much the majority of them absolutely struggled just to make dime.

Most home business owners will absolutely struggle until they learn the basics of marketing their business.

You see, when I got started, I thought I understood how to build a business, with a background in corporate america.

More than likely you understand the idea that unique to your business out in front of people. In addition it’s very likely that your up line is telling you to make a list of 100 prospects and to call them and hound them to tell them about your awesome business opportunity.

I mean, come on, the people I hung out with knew exactly how “fake” that would seem coming accross to them and It just felt really weird doing that anyway. If I owned a brick and mortar business, would I go ahead and make a list of friends and ask them to buy from me? Nope! That was a quick road to network marketing failure.

It is very common for people to go out and buy flyers and post them all of the place in parking lots and malls and spend a lot of time and money doing so.

Some have even tried advertising in local magazines to no avail.

With dreams of dollar figures dancing in your head’s is easy to spend a lot of money and get no results at this.

Some might even try to use their company replicated website only to find that this is is another road to network marketing failure.

I’ll admit times were pretty grim at that point, and I was doubting my decision to dive into a home business at all. I was wondering if I was ever going to make any money at all in this thing at all and going to be a permanent network marketing failure.

Then, by accident really, I discovered that you COULD build your business online on the internet, and generate leads from people who were actually interested in what you had to offer.

Now here is another thing that so many self-proclaimed “Goo-Roo’s” will never tell you, even about building a business online. Success doesn’t come immediately, at least it didn’t for me, but that does not mean you are going to be a network marketing failure.
