It’s fun to trade opinions on favorite movies and favorite actors. Every person has an opinion and none is more right or wrong but everybody has their own favorites that they get pleasure from. Some actors shock us with their immense talent, some actors are pretty to look at and then of course some are both of those things. Now and then we admire an actor more for what he does away from the movie set as for what they do onscreen because some actors are just impressive people who use their fame and fortune to help others who are less fortunate throughout the world. Number One with a Bullet – Carradine and Williams do well in this somewhat standard action motion picture where we have hostile investigators out to depose a drug kingpin. Cast includes Robert Carradine, Billy Dee Williams, Valerie Bertinelli, Peter Graves, Doris Roberts, and Bobby DiCicco. (101 minutes,’87)
The Horse Whisperer – After her daughter is gravely injured in a horse riding accident, her well-off mother takes the horse to a celebrated horse whisperer in Montana. A romance between the two follows.
The All-American Boy – Jumbled drama in reference to Olympic aspirant Voight’s endeavor to be a victorious boxer; beautiful locations of northern California, but that is all. Cast includes Jon Voight, Ned Glass, Anne Archer, and Carol Androsky. (104 minutes,’89)
Ivan the Terrible: Continuation of the legend of King Ivan IV, in which he takes on the boyars in a fight for power. Remarkable dvd is just a shade underneath its predecessor, Forbidden by Stalin due to debatable illustration of Ivan’s secret patrol, and not released till’58. Cast includes Nikolai Cherkassov; Serafima Birman, Mikhail Nazvanov, Pavel Kadochnikov, and Andrei Abrikosov. (88 minutes,’46)
The Music of Chance – A thriller in regards to telekinetic, suicidal Ivanek, powerless to command his powers, who moves his bad dreams to psychiatrist Harrold and causes confusion in a clinic. Cast includes James Spader, Mandy Patinkin, M. Emmett Walsh, Charles Durning (98 minutes,’93)
We will for all time have our favorite movies and our favorite actors and actresses. We may like them because of their talent or for other reasons but now that we can download full-length, high quality movies instantly on the Internet at least we won’t have to miss any of their movies.
